It saddens me to post my adorable cat on here, but I figure this is much better than Craig's list.
My husband has always had mild cat allergies, but over the years we still ended up taking in stray cats that needed homes. When we rented a house in NJ the cat allergies were never that bad, but since moving to a tiny apartment in the city we've been faced with the sad realization that we just could not keep them anymore. We already found a home for Commando with an old friend, but are struggling to find a home for Misha.
Misha is our mini-cat. She's super-adorable and very lovable. Misha loves to be pet and is big into playing with laser pointers. She's several years old but still acts like a kitten; almost every night she has us laughing over the how excited a plastic bag or mundane household item will make her. She has the cutest little meows you've ever heard and will come running over to say hi when you walk through the door. Misha was a stray, but by the time we got her the vet estimates that she was at least a year old and probably already had a litter, which stunted her growth. She'll jump on your lap and loves being brushed and pet, but she does needs to get to know you first. So the only thing I would point out is that if you take Misha she may take a day or two to warm up, but then she'll be all about the attention.
She does have claws, but we've never had a problem with her scratching up our apartment. We have one old wicker table that we have as her scratching post and she loves it. We could definitely pass it along if a Freecommunityist would want to take her. If you're interested, please let me know and I could send along photos and arrange for a time for you to meet her.
Thanks for your help!
Sarah
